For over 40 years, Pickering Manor has provided quality care for seniors in Bucks County. Pickering Manor is a unique place started by one man’s vision to take care of local seniors. From Russell Pickering’s original bequest of his house and $200,000, Pickering Manor has grown into an intimate, personal, high quality facility that serves over 100 seniors daily.
Contributions to Pickering Manor go directly to benefit people in Bucks County. Whether it is a gift to our endowment, for a capital project or to assist with a program for our residents, all the support goes directly back to the community and to people who live in the community.
In partnership, we can make a positive difference in the well being of seniors in this community. Giving options include:
- A general donation to help us continue to provide high quality care
- A gift to our endowment which provides ongoing income from interest while the principal remains untouched
- A specific gift to help fund a particular project like renovating our resident showers or rehabilitation unit
- A gift of publicly traded stock which help our work and potentially save the donor taxes
- A bequest through your will
A Charitable Gift Annuity which pays the donor income and provides long term assets for Pickering Manor
Pickering Manor is a tax exempt 501(c) 3 organization under the leadership of the Community Welfare Council of Newtown incorporated in Pennsylvania. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. The official registration and financial information of the Community Welfare Council of Newtown may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll-free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999. MEMORIALS/TRIBUTES

Gifts of this type can be directed to any giving option Pickering Manor supports. Pickering Manor will be happy to notify the person or family that a gift has been made in their honor.

GIFTS OF STOCK/SECURITIES
Making a stock gift is easy and potentially provides tax advantages to the donor. The donor may avoid a capital gain tax on the appreciated securities and the donor may receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the donated shares. Please contact Pickering Manor’s Director of Development if you would like to make this type of gift.
CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY
Pickering Manor offers its donor a charitable gift annuity program through the Univest Foundation. This program is a true win-win for the donor and Pickering Manor. A donor can designate an amount of at least $5,000 to Pickering Manor. Pickering Manor agrees to pay the donor an income based on their age.
