Thank you for your inquiry regarding Pickering Manor Apartments. Below are some facts about the apartments.

The minimum age for admittance is 55.

The monthly rent varies depending upon the apartment selection. The options are one-bedroom first floor, one-bedroom second floor, two-bedroom first floor, and two-bedroom second floor.

A security deposit equal to one month's rent is due prior to the first day of occupancy. This includes all utilities except telephone and electricity. There is electric heat and air-conditioning. It is the responsibility of the apartment tenant to transfer the electricity into their name; as well as out of their name upon termination of the lease agreement.

Cable TV is available at your expense. Arrangements can be made for its use by contacting Comcast Cable. Cable television outlets are located in the living room area and bedroom.

Telephone outlets are located in the living room and dining rooms. Some units also have outlets in the bedroom area. The connection fee is the responsibility of the tenant.

A washer and dryer connection is located in each apartments' bathroom. The purchase and maintenance of these appliances is the responsibility of the tenant. Portable vents are required and manufacturers instructions must be carefully followed during their installation. The exhaust fan located in the bathroom should be used while the dryer is in operation. The space allocation is 24 inches.

A stove and refrigerator is provided in each unit and is owned and maintained by Pickering Manor.

Living at Pickering Manor Apartments does not automatically make the Personal Care or Nursing facilities of Pickering Manor Home available to you. A separate application must be made. Pickering Manor is unable to provided nursing care or meals to the apartment residents.

Hairdresser and Podiatry services are available at Pickering Manor. Any interested tenant should contact Pickering Manor for more information.

A shopping excursion is provided every Thursday morning by the Newtown Ambulance van. Any interested tenant can utilize this service. If other transportation is needed to a physicians office, the tenant may contact Newtown Ambulance.

Pickering Manor provides trash removal services each Monday morning between 8:00am - 8:30am and each Wednesday between 3:30pm - 4:00pm. The trash will be removed from the back door-area of each unit.

Maintenance services are provided by Pickering Manor. Any routine maintenance request may be reported during business hours Monday - Friday. In the event of a maintenance emergency, contact Pickering Manor at 215-968-3878. You may contact them 24 hours/day and a maintenance person will respond as soon as possible.
